SF Alexandrovsky is one of the organizers of the Society of Russian watercolors, exhibitions he regularly exhibited his portraits. In 1874 he became an academician of portraiture, and watercolor painting. In 1884 the artist was elected an honorary freestyle partaker of the Academy of Arts. This title is awarded famous patrons, collectors, and in rare cases, artists do a lot for the development of fine arts in Russia.

He was born in 1842, he was educated in Riga grammar school, art education at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts; awarded the title of the class artist I degree (1869), academician (1874, for a portrait of the then minister of war DA Milutin) and honorable free partakers Academy (1884).

He was one of the founders of the “Society of Russian akvareliastov.” From his works we mention: an album of portraits of 30 representatives of Central Asian peoples who were in Moscow during the coronation of Emperor Alexander III (1884, purchased by the Emperor); 45 portraits of the Military Order of the Knights of the sign, attended the opening in St. Petersburg.. portraits of the embassies of the Emir of Bukhara, who were in St. Petersburg. In 1886 and in 1889 (too) an album of sketches and drawings made during a trip to the East, and others.
